Right now, we are in a critical moment of organizing for climate justice. The coal plant in Bow, NH did not receive funding for 2026-2027 through our regional energy grid operators. The United Nations is hosting a Climate Ambition Summit in September where the "ticket to entry" is tangible action from the government to keep fossil fuels in the ground. President Biden green-lit the disastrous Willow fossil fuel project in Alaska, and millions of people across the country took action to oppose this decision.
There is growing outrage over Biden’s climate hypocrisy, and global recognition that we need to take action to phase out fossil fuels to have any hope of a livable future. Are you interested in how these fossil fuel fights connect to one another?
Join us for a hybrid forum (in Dover and on Zoom!) to discuss some of the threads these fossil fuel, and particularly coal fights, have in common! We must stop the approval of new fracked gas permits on a federal level, close the coal plant in Bow, and ensure a transition to clean, renewable energy for all.
Come to this important discussion so we can prepare for a national distributed action in June and continue the fight to stop new fossil fuel projects from being proposed in New Hampshire. RSVP here to let us know if you'll attend in person or online!
LET'S END THE ERA OF FOSSIL FUELS TOGETHER!
*We will have snacks, art, and good conversation! Parking and accessibility details will be sent you to after RSVP-ing, but the building is wheelchair accessible. Feel free to send us any specific questions you have.
