What is THE 350NH Youth Retreat?

The 350NH Annual Youth Retreat is a student-run leadership
and organizing retreat for high schoolers across NH!

Over the course of a weekend, students will learn how we can work together to stop the climate crisis and build a better future.  They will participate in training sessions about grassroots organizing, climate justice, and youth power in the climate movement.  They will also participate in team building activities and form lasting friendships.

The 2024 350NH Youth Retreat will took place at World Fellowship Center (in Albany, NH,) from July 19th-21st. The deadline to sign up is June 19th.

350NH’s Mission

350NH’s mission is to stop the climate crisis by building grassroots support for a just transition to renewable energy and an end to fossil fuel use and expansion. We know that in order to achieve that goal we MUST listen to the young people who will face the worst of the effects of the climate crisis. Today’s youth will be the first responders to climate disasters, the farmers feeding our world amidst sporadic growing seasons and erratic weather, and the politicians navigating the displacement of millions of people from coastal communities.

By hosting this annual Youth Retreat, 350NH will train more young people in our state to take on leadership positions in our field and give them the tools to build powerful grassroots movements that can move our society towards a renewable energy future.

On this retreat, we will:

  • Connect: bring together young people with diverse backgrounds from around the state to organize solutions to the climate crisis.

  • Learn: learn about grassroots organizing, climate movement history, climate justice, and campaign strategy.

  • Play: enjoy hikes, swimming, canoeing, frisbee, and games!

  • Create Change: learn how to engage in  effective advocacy, and use some of our retreat time to take concrete action in the fight against climate change.

350NH Provides:

  • Mentorship: 350NH staff members will help students facilitate trainings and guide the weekend retreat. At least three 350NH staff members will be on site, supervising the retreat.

  • Resources: 350NH will provide lodging, food, and activities for the weekend. Scholarships are available to all students who need financial assistance to attend the retreat.
