Organizers Release “Climate Justice Report Card” to Call Out Climate Deniers in the State House

CONCORD, NH - As elected officials begin to submit bills for the 2026 legislative session, volunteers with 350NH Action launch the first edition of their report card for the 2025 session. Making their stances on the human impacts of the climate crisis clear, legislators almost unanimously voted against the interests of Granite Staters, making New Hampshire a worse place to live, work, and enjoy the outdoors.

“We deserve a future where our communities have access to the resources we need to thrive,” said Rebecca Beaulieu, Communications Director with 350NH Action. “Instead, elected officials underfunded vital resources for pollution control, education, housing, energy efficiency, healthcare, and more - just to fund tax cuts for wealthy corporations. We deserve a future that is safe, healthy, and funded. Right now our elected officials are not fighting for us, they are protecting corporate interests.”

Hundreds of bills were introduced during the 2025 legislative session and thousands of Granite Staters showed up to testify online or in-person. Disturbingly, almost every bill passed out of the various House committees was opposed by the majority of public testimony and almost every bill deemed inexpedient to legislate was supported by the majority of the public testimony. Legislators gutted clean energy, energy efficiency, and civil rights protections while giving vouchers and tax breaks to the wealthy.

“We want our children to be able to experience the beauty of New Hampshire and that means funding pollution-clean up, clean energy, and protections for public lands,” said Chantelle Rioux, Organizing Director with 350NH Action. “Legislators are bending to the will of polluting corporations instead, by passing legislation to ban wind energy and failing to implement protections for communities when it comes to landfill citing. Enough is enough. With these report cards, we will show our communities how their representatives are voting against lowering the cost of living for all of us.”

350NH Action’s mission is to stop the climate crisis by building support for a just transition to clean energy and electing leaders who will fight for climate justice.
